SIGNAL HARBOR

CANONICAL POLICY

Privacy Policy

This canonical policy applies to Signal Harbor. It matches the in-app Privacy Center. Effective August 4, 2026.

1. Responsible entity and scope

Signal Harbor is an offline Android educational tabletop provided by Compuquip Technologies, LLC d/b/a Compuquip Cybersecurity. Effective date: August 4, 2026.

2. Intended audience

The app is intended for adults and authorized professional learning contexts, not children or unmoderated youth use.

3. Purpose

The app presents fictional, prewritten cues for a tabletop discussion about boundaries, role handoffs, recovery, and safe escalation. It is not a security service or response tool.

4. Data collected and transmitted

Signal Harbor does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data, device identifiers, usage data, location, files, or network data.

5. On-device state

Optional buoy and recovery marks stay in private app storage on the device.

6. Sensitive records and free text

The app has no notes field, form, incident log, profile, upload, scanner, or free-text input. Do not use it for confidential information.

7. Permissions

The app requests no user-grantable Android permissions, including Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, and notifications. The exact artifact only includes an AndroidX-generated app-signature receiver permission, which cannot grant another app access to user data.

8. Accounts

There is no account, sign-in, registration, password, or account-deletion workflow.

9. Ads, analytics and SDKs

The app has no ads, analytics, tracking, attribution, telemetry, remote configuration, or third-party SDKs.

10. Sharing and sale

Because no data leaves the app, Signal Harbor does not share, disclose, rent, or sell data, or use data for targeted advertising.

11. Links and network behavior

Reference URLs are displayed as context. The app does not open, fetch, or communicate with them.

12. Retention

Optional local marks remain until cleared in the app, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.

13. Deletion, backup and transfer

Use Clear Local Marks or Android app-storage controls to remove local marks. Backup and device transfer are disabled.

14. Security

Local app storage relies on Android app sandboxing. No method can guarantee security if a device is compromised.

15. Children and safeguarding

Do not use the app to create youth records or enable unsupervised adult-youth communication. Adults should supervise any appropriate educational use.

16. Professional and safety limits

The app is not cybersecurity, legal, safety, emergency, medical, or professional advice, and cannot assess or respond to real events.

17. Changes and choices

A future version may update this policy. Users may choose not to mark prompts and may clear local marks at any time.
